Come out and celebrate the 14th Annual Preeceville & District Mushers' Rendezvous!

The annual Mushers' Rendezvous in Preeceville will be held on February 1, 2, and 3, 2013, all starting at the Preeceville and District Skating Arena. It is a world-class event featuring six and 10 sled dog races.

The fun weekend will include a lot more for the whole family: a talent show, suppers, dances, hockey games and some exciting events for children. It will truly be a memorable event to attend!

Preeceville School students and Sturgis Elementary students are selling paper dogs for $1.00 to support Mushers. For every dog the students sells, they get their name in a draw.

The Mushers' weekend could not be a huge of a success without the help of the countless volunteers that give up their time year after year to help out. And we Thank you! If you want to help the organizing committee make this a truly fun event, why don't you come out and volunteer. The organizing committee needs someone to put together advertising for this event. Workers are also needed to work the gates on Saturday and Sunday. Please contact Kevin or Rhonda Cook if you are interested.

Sponsor letters have been sent out, and the prize patrol have started canvassing for the prize table at the dance, so if you are interested in sponsoring this event or donating a prize, you may also contact Darlene Walker, Kim Dyky, Michelle Kowalchuk and Chris Chabot.

2013 Saturday Evening Entertainment - Comedian Nestor Pistor at the Preeceville Legion Hall, Tickets are $25 each. For more information or to purchase tickets, contact Coreen at 547-2721 or Kim at 547-2259. Tickets will be on sale for a Christmas gift.

Passes available the week before at: Gateway CO-OP, Paul's Drugs, Midtown Service,Town Office, Golden West Hotel, Maple Farm Equipment and Home Hardware in Preeceville or in Sturgis at Dmytrash One-Stop Service.

Pledges accepted for your favourite performance.
Only $2 to attend!
Free will offering for coffee and dainties to follow for those who wish to stay.

Saturday, February 2nd

(Minor Hockey Games, Cardboard Dogsled Races and Childrens' Events throughout the day- watch for times)

10:00am: MUSHER'S MEETING AND REGISTRATION

12:00pm:CROSSROADS CREDIT UNION CLASSIC - 10 dog race - Approximately 22 miles, ages 16 and over.

12:15pm: 5th Annual Cardboard Sled Rendezvous at the Arena - To register a team, show up at the Tennis Court by 12:15pm. For more information or rules - contact the Town Office 547-2810 or Trina at the Preeceville CAP Site 547-3444, or watch for posters.

2:00pm: RM OF PREECEVILLE - 6 dog race - Approximately 10 miles, ages 16 and over.

3:00pm: MERCHANTS CHALLENGE(FORMO MOTORS) - 5 dog race JR- Approximately 10 miles, open to all ages 8 to 16.

4:30 - 7:00pm - SUPPER @ THE LEGION HALL - Sponsored by The Preeceville Church Ladies.
Adults $10., Students $5., Preschool - free, $30. Immediate Family
Supper side dish theme - Hawaiian

8:00 pm -Midnight - DRY DANCE at Club 60, Entertainment by Willie and the girls, potluck lunch, $7.00/person

8:00 pm - HAPPY HOUR (Legion Hall)

8:00am - 11:00 am - PANCAKE BREAKFAST AT LEGION HALL
$5. plate, 3 and under - free

Snow Plane Rides - donation (admission)

11:00am - Snow Sculpture Contest at the Preeceville Tennis Court. You will have 3 hours to build your sculpture and teams may comprise of up to 4 people. Judging will take place at 2:15 pm SHARP.
To register just show up at the Tennis Court by 11:00am

12:00pm - CROSSROADS CREDIT UNION CLASSIC FINAL

2:00pm - RM OF PREECEVILLE FINAL

3:00pm - PRO 1 DOG RACE

Immediately Following Racing: Mushers' Awards at the Preeceville Community Legion Hall.

4:30pm - VARIETY SUPPER @ THE LEGION HALL - Sponsored by Preeceville Health Care Providers
